Alliances
In
MultiPlayer Games, you can chat with other
Star Lords and form Alliances by clicking the "Relations" button.
Communication Channels
When chatting with other Star Lords during a MultiPlayer Game, you can use
one of three Channels:
- All - your chat will be received by all Star Lords in the game.
- Allies - your chat will only be received by Star Lords that you've formed
an Alliance with (see below).
- Enemy - your chat will only be received by Star Lords that you have not
allied with.
Alliances
In the Relations screen, the Alliances section along the right side allows
you to view and set Alliances with other players. There are three levels
of Alliance in Solar Vengeance 5. When you enable a higher level of
Alliance, it automatically also includes all of the effects of the lower levels.
- Friendly - When you grant a Star Lord
a Friendly alliance, your StarShips will not automatically attack their
StarShips when Auto-Attack Adjacent is turned on. Additionally, your
EMines and StarTillery will not attack the ally's StarShips. You can
still target their StarShips and
StarSystems manually if desired.
- Intelligence - The Star Lord you grant
this level of Alliance to shares your visibility, and can see all of the
StarSystems and StarShips that you can see.
- Formal - When two or more Star Lords
mutually set a Formal Alliance, and they defeat the remaining Star Lords, a
joint victory is declared for the allied players.
Mutual or One-Sided Alliances
When you grant an Alliance to a player, you are providing them the benefit of
the Alliance, but you do not receive the benefit unless they also explicitly
grant you the Alliance.
When you grant an Alliance, you see an icon appear next to their name, with
an open notched shape. The color of the icon determines the level of
Alliance you granted; orange for Friendly,
yellow for Intelligence, and
green for formal.
This icon
indicates that you've granted a Star Lord a Friendly Alliance, but they have not
yet granted you an Alliance.
When a Star Lord
has granted you an Alliance, you will see the icon shown here. In this
case, the Star Lord has granted you an Intelligence Alliance but you have not
granted them one yet.
When there is
a mutual Alliance, but sides of the icon will be filled. Indicated here is
a mutual Formal Alliance.
Be careful that your allies are living up to their end of the bargain and
maintaining the Alliance with you. Also, be warned - Alliances can be
broken at the click of a button!
