Cosmic Terrain

This page describes the various types of cosmic terrain you will encounter in Solar Vengeance 6.  They type of terrain you will find in a game depends on the Scenario that you play.

Nebula

  • Nebula renders Scanners on StarShips and StarSystems inoperable.
  • Nebula also hides objects from outside Scanners.
  • In some Scenarios, Nebula is destructive and will damage StarShips that travel within.

Wormholes

  • StarShips entering a Wormhole are deposited at the Wormhole's exit point, which can be anywhere on the map.
  • You cannot see a Wormhole's exit point until you send at least one StarShip through it.

(A Wormhole close to the Capital)

Pulsars

  • Pulsars completely repair any StarShip adjacent to them.

(StarTillery stationed by a Pulsar)

Black Holes

  • Black Holes pull in StarShips that get within their range.
  • StarShips pulled into a Black Hole are destroyed.
  • Black Holes are not revealed by Scanners, and become visible only when a StarShip moves next to them.

(WarShips pulled into a large Black Hole)

Background Images

  • Some Scenarios include background images that may or may not have an effect on the game.
  • Some Scenario background images are actual Nebula.
