StarShip Types

  • When a game starts, you can build only 6 of the StarShip types below during a game.
  • Select your 6 StarShip types prior to creating/joining a game using the "StarShips" button in the Lobby.
  • However, some StarSystems provide a StarShip bonus.
    • If you conquer such a StarSystem, you will be able to build StarShips of the bonus type.
    • Also, the bonus StarShip type can be built at a Resource discount at that StarSystem.

WarShip
WarShips can conquer StarSystems and attack enemy StarShips. When a WarShip attacks a StarSystem, the StarSystem's Shields are reduced by the WarShip's Weapon rating, and the WarShip is destroyed. A WarShip can damage or destroy another WarShip only if the target has a lower Weapons rating!

ScanShip
ScanShips possess Scanners that can detect the presence of enemy StarShips, and the details of StarSystems.

Drone
Drones strike their targets and explode, destroying themselves in the process, and possibly the target. If the target has a lower Engine rating than the Drone, it is destroyed. Otherwise, there is still a chance it is destroyed, based on the engine difference between the Drone and its target.

E-Mine
E-Mines detonate whenever an enemy StarShip is adjacent. Both the E-Mine and the target is destroyed in the blast. MineSweeper StarShips can absorb E-Mine detonations with their Armor.

SpyShip
SpyShips possess Scanners, like ScanShips. But a SpyShip's Scanners reveal the exact details of enemy StarShips, not only their presence.

Freighter
Freighters can transport Resources between friendly StarSystems and BattleStations. Each Freighter has a Cargo rating that determines how many Resources it can hold. Each Cargo Bay can carry 10 Resources. So, a Freighter with 5 Cargo Bays could transport 50 Resources.

InkSpot
Any StarShip next to an InkSpot is "tagged". The owner of the InkSpot can now see the full details of the "tagged" StarShip, even when its outside of Scanner range. InkSpots also will automatically move away from adjacent enemy StarShips thanks to their evasive maneuvering systems.

CloakDetector
CloakDetectors detect cloaked StarShips that are within their Detector Range. They pulse when cloaked StarShips are within range, and display arrows indicating the direction(s) of the cloaked ships.

Tug
A Tug can tow a single StarShip, either friendly or enemy. The towed StarShip will move along next to the Tug as the Tug moves. StarShips that are being towed cannot move on their own, or execute any other orders. The Tug can release a towed StarShip at any time.

HijackShip
HijackShips capture enemy StarShips that they attack. The HijackShip itself is destroyed after capturing a target.

ShieldGenerator
ShieldsGenerators can generate Shields around StarSystems. The generation rate is based on the Engine rating of the ShieldGenerator.

CommandShip
CommandShips exert a "command influence" over an area determined by their Command Range. WarShips within the Command Range have their effective Weapons rating increased by 1. Multiple CommandShips can produce a cumulative effect.

DoppleShip
DoppleShips function exactly like WarShips, except to the enemy they appear as WarShips with much lower Engine and Weapon ratings than they actually have.

RepairShip
RepairShips repair damaged StarShips adjacent to them. They can also be directed to repair a specific StarShip. RepairShips will also slowly repair themselves if damaged and there are no other damaged StarShips next to them to repair.

NukeMissile
Once a NukeMissile targets a StarSystem its orders cannot be changed. NukeMissiles contain a Warheads, and each Warhead reduces a StarSystem's Resources by up to 25%. If the target StarSystem already has low Resources, its Resources can be reduced to below zero. NukeMissiles are immune to StarTillery fire.

DoomMissile
DoomMissiles can target a single StarSystem, and once targeted their orders cannot be changed. They contain a number of Warheads, and each one that impacts a StarSystem reduces its Shields by 1 to 10 points, and reduces its Scanners by 1 to 3 points. DoomMissiles are immune to StarTillery fire.

MineSweeper
MineSweepers possess Armor that can absorb E-Mine detonations. When a MineSweeper is next to an E-Mine, the E-Mine explodes as normal, but the MineSweeper suffers only 1 damage point to its Armor.

GravShip
GravShips can move entire StarSystems, or other cosmic phenomenon like Pulsars and Wormholes. When a GravShip targets something to move, its effective Engine rating is reduced to 1.

StarTillery
StarTillery will damage the closest enemy StarShip within their Range. Each Impulse they act (determined by Engines) they will inflict 1 point of damage to a target in range.

TechShip
The presence of TechShips slowly increases the Tech Multiple of the Star Lord that owns them. A Star Lord's Tech Multiple influences how quickly Resources are produced at all of its StarSystems.

JumpGateShip
JumpGateShips can build Wormholes that lead from their StarSystem of origin to the point in space the JumpGateShip exists at the time the Wormhole was created. Only 1 Wormhole can be created at one StarSystem. JumpGateShips are destroyed when creating their Gate.

BattleStation
BattleStations have a Hull rating that absorbs damage points, and they can slowly repair themselves and other adjacent damaged StarShips. BattleStations can attack StarSystems and reduce Shields by 1 each time they attack. BattleStations scoop Resources as they move, and they can build other StarShips with their accumulated Resources.

BeamShip
BeamShips can manually target and destroy an enemy StarShip with their Beam. The BeamShip's range is determined by its Beam Range rating.

MadBomb
When MadBombs detonate they damage all StarShips in their Blast Radius, friendly or enemy. The maximum amount of damage is also determined by the Blast Radius. Any player who identifies a MadBomb on the map can detonate it.

Elite
Elites are WarShips whose Weapon rating advances as they destroy enemy StarShips. Also, cloaked Elites remain invisible to your Allies.

ParalyShip
ParalyShips paralyze the closest enemy StarShip in their Paralyze Range. The paralyzed StarShip cannot move, but can otherwise perform actions.

RemoteViewer
RemoteViewers can select a "View Point" anywhere on the map that cannot be changed once set. The RemoteViewer can see within the View Point as if Scanners were present there, and can even penetrate Nebula.

Director
Director StarShips order any StarShips in Range that can do so to attack the nearest enemy or independent StarSystem. They can issue their orders on each Impulse that they act, based on their Engine rating.
